It’s time to celebrate our “Best of Award of Excellence”, recently awarded to our wine list by the Wine Spectator.
Adding to our wine list awards from Tatler Restaurant Awards and The World of Fine Wines this is a wonderful achievement by our Sommelier team and we are incredibly proud to have gained this award in our first year of entry.
What does “Best of Award of Excellence” mean?
These wine lists display excellent breadth across multiple wine growing regions and/or significant vertical depth of top producers, along with superior presentation. Typically offering 350 or more selections (we have over 1100+ bottles of wine), these restaurants are destinations for serious wine lovers, showing a deep commitment to wine, both in the cellar and through their service team.
Wine Spectator is the world’s leading authority on wine. Anchored by Wine Spectator magazine, a print publication that reaches more than 3 million readers worldwide, the brand also encompasses the Web’s most comprehensive wine site (WineSpectator.com), mobile platforms and a series of signature events. Wine Spectator examines the world of wine from the vineyard to the table, exploring wine’s role in contemporary culture and delivering expert reviews of more than 18,000 wines each year.
We are also delighted that our sister restaurant in Paris, Le Taillevent, has retained their “Grand Award”, having held it since 1984.
A huge thank you to the judges of Wine Spectator and to the team at our London restaurant for curating our list. Do come and join us for a glass or two, from our 1100+ strong list soon.
